Federal and state laws provide stiff protections against crimes and harassment committed against a person on basis of their race, citizenship or nationality.
In many situations, it is illegal to prohibit a person to speak in a native language, to use native clothes, to practice its native customs, or to exclude or to deny employment to a person to the basis of race, citizenship or nationality. It is also illegal to direct insults and stereotypes with racist motives against a person on the basis of race, citizenship or nationality.
The discrimination may not be very obvious. Although a written or verbal policy may not be in place to racially discriminate against persons, certain practices with such intent of excluding certain groups may be in place and arise to the level of an offense against federal or state law.
If you think that you have been excluded, insulted, or discriminated against on the basis of race, citizenship, or nationality, please call us for immediate attention at 1-888-GINARTE.
